A native of New England, Dr. Brennan earned his bachelor’s degree from UNH, where he played Division 1-AA football before earning his medical degree and advanced training in sports medicine.

As an active duty Army officer/phyisican/educator, Dr. Brennan earned twenty-one military awards and medals - including the Bronze Star Medal for service as a trauma and family physician in Baghdad, Iraq. He has published multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. Dr. Brennan is a two-time Boston Marathon finisher and an Ironman Triathlon World Championship finisher. He is a senior consultant physician to the Ironman Triathlon World Championship and serves as a medical volunteer at the Marine Corps and Boston Marathons.

Dr. Brennan is Medical Director of the SCFA (Seacoast Center for Athletes) and is the Head UNH team physician. Dr. Brennan is the Deputy Commander of Clinical Services for the 157th Air Refueling Wing Medical Group, Pease Air National Guard Base. He has privileges at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He specializes in the medical aspects of athletic care, the full scope of non-surgical musculoskeletal medicine,  post concussion medical care, and ultrasound-guided injections.
