Prescription/Medication FAQs
How do I get a refill on my prescription?
- We encourage patients with questions regarding their medications or prescriptions to call during our regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm EST). If you are calling off-hours, please have the medication name and pharmacy telephone number ready for the physician when you call.
- It is our office policy not to refill narcotic pain medication prescriptions after hours, on weekends or holidays. This policy is designed to prevent medical errors and to allow for proper documentation of prescriptions. Please try to anticipate in advance if your current prescription will run out over a weekend so you can obtain a refill prior to the office close on Friday.
What should I know about my medication (risks, adverse effects, etc.)?
- Many medications have side effects. It is important that you make yourself aware of the possible risks of your medications so that you can inform your physician if any adverse effects occur.
