Dr. Bloom completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and Fellowship in Surgery of the Hand at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery.

Dr. Bloom is on staff at both Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH. He also has privileges at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH, as well as the Portsmouth Regional Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has been in private practice in New Hampshire since 1981, specializing in upper extremity surgery and medical management.
