Dr. Harrington graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Boston University in 1975 after which he attended the University of Vermont School of Medicine. He served his internship at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and subsequently completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. While there, he was a clinical instructor in surgery at the Uniformed Services School of Medicine. Dr. Harrington served with the United States Navy in Groton, Connecticut and Okinawa, Japan.

 

Dr. Harrington is on active staff at both Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH, and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH, and has privileges at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.  He is the team physician for the men’s hockey team at the University of New Hampshire and participates as a team physician for several area schools. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
