Neck & Back E-mail

Problems affecting the neck and back are a leading cause of physical disability in this country and profoundly affect a person’s ability to participate in work, sport, recreation, and leisure time activities. Because of the delicate interaction between the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, spine surgery has become a highly subspecialized field requiring advanced training using sophisticated technology.

At Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Dr. Dirksmeier is a fellowship-trained expert in disorders affecting cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He has worked closely with several local physical therapists to optimize spine rehabilitation using both aquatic and land-based techniques. In addition, he is actively involved in the creation of a Center for Excellence in the treatment of spine problems.
