 Dr. Charles Blitzer is bestowed highest ranking in Top Doctors of New Hampshire poll. The results of an annual poll are in — New Hampshire physicians have selected Charles Blitzer, MD, as a top specialist in the state. Conducted by New Hampshire Magazine, the annual poll asks all licensed physicians in New Hampshire who they would choose to provide medical care for their friends and loved ones. The great number of physicians who selected Dr. Blitzer for orthopedic medical care ranks him as a top vote-getter in the poll and one of the distinguished physicians honored in the magazine this month. A highly regarded surgeon and director of the Trauma Center at Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Somersworth and Lee, Dr. Blitzer has special interests in the care of fractures, shoulder surgery, and arthroscopic surgery. He has published articles on skiing injuries, arthroscopy, and fractures and was recently quoted in Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, the leading peer-reviewed journal in the field of arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Blitzer serves on the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ Board of Councilors and is past president of the New Hampshire Medical Society. He is an affiliate assistant professor at the University of New Hampshire in the School of Health and Human Services and an adjunct clinical faculty member at the University of New England in the physician assistant program. Dr. Blitzer is on staff at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester and has privileges at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. |
