(Somersworth, NH) – Moby Parsons, MD, an orthopedic joint replacement surgeon at Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, has earned recertification in orthopedic surgery – adult reconstruction – from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS), scoring in the 99th percentile on the exam.

Certification by the ABOS means that the orthopedic surgeon has met the specified educational, evaluation, and examination requirements of the Board. This demonstrates a commitment to the highest quality of care and career-long continuing professional development.

Since 1986, the ABOS has issued time-limited certificates, requiring recertification every seven to ten years. In order to maintain certification, orthopedic surgeons must complete 120 hours of pertinent continuing medical education, undergo a stringent peer review process to make certain they are respected by their peers and practicing ethical orthopedic surgery, and take and pass a written and oral examination.
